Michael P. Byron
Advisor of Record
As Advisor of Record Professor Byron guides the club, supports the officers, supervises our activities, provides a bridge to our college's administration, and acts as our "institutional memory" - ensuring our history and culture live on long after the current members have graduated.

Codi Vierra
Advisor of Merit
Codi is a 23 year old Democrat extraordinaire from Campbell, California. She graduated Cum Laude from UCSD in 2016 with her B.A in Political Science and minors in Business and Urban Studies & Planning. She currently lives in San Diego and is the Finance Assistant for Congressman Scott Peters (CA-52). She is also the CYD South State Regional Director and the Secretary of the San Diego County Young Democrats. Codi has been a critical part of our club's history and has guided us through conventions, activism and elections, and the general political process. For her services and outstanding character, Codi was nominated and approved as an "Advisor of Merit" and "Honorary Spartan Democrat" in January of 2018.
As an Advisor of Merit, Codi has no authority in the club or with the college, but coordinates with the Executive Board and provides her skills, knowledge, guidance, and support.
Advisors of Merit are individuals who do not attend, no longer attend, or do not teach at MiraCosta College, but have been nominated by the President to advise the club for a one year term in recognition of their outstanding contributions to our organisation or their particular skill set.
OFFICERS

Stuart McKown
President
As President, Stuart is responsible for representing and leading the club as a whole, being the chair of the Executive Board, and acting as the primary liaison of the DMCC to all external organisations and the greater Democratic Party.

Lucas Valencia
Vice President
As Vice President, Lucas is responsible for assisting the rest of the Executive Board in fulfilling their roles and leads the club in the absence or vacancy of the President

Kyle Bright
Director of Communications
Kyle is a second year Political Science major and founding member of our club. Kyle is a Camp Pendleton/Oceanside native and proud alumnus of the Vista High School Regimental Band and Pageantry Corps and Pacific Crest Drum & Bugle Corps. He currently serves in a number of student activist and political positions, and is working on engaging young voters. During the 2016 election cycle, he worked as a fellow for Hillary for America and as an intern for Doug Applegate for Congress. During the 2018 midterms he interned for Sara Jacobs for Congress and worked as Field Director for Elizabeth Warren for CA State Assembly District 76. He previously served as President from Spring of 2016 to Fall of 2018. He plans on transferring to UC San Diego or San Diego State University.
As Director of Communications, Kyle serves as Chair of the Social Affairs Committee and is responsible for crafting the club's messaging and advertising styles, organizing social events, and maintaining the club's social media accounts on Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, and etc.

Darshan Davis
Director of Finance
As Director of Finance, Darshan is responsible for maintaining the club's financial records, crafting semesterly budgets, handling all reimbursements and expenditures, and organizing fundraising efforts throughout the year.

Rosita Lopez
Director of Operations
As Director of Operations, Rosita is responsible for maintaining the club's calendar, organizing all meetings, conducting all elections business, and taking minutes for all General Body and Executive Board meetings.
