How to get

our endorsement

If you've made it to this page, congratulations on your decision to run for office!

These next few months are going to be grueling and involve zipping around between dozens of endorsement meetings just like ours. To make our process as easy and painless for you as possible, we've provided all of the necessary forms and information you'll need below:

1. Requirements:

To be considered for endorsement you must be a registered Democrat and have announced your candidacy two weeks before the endorsement meeting. You must also hold yourself to a standard of conduct and ethics befitting the office you hope to hold.

2. Contact us:

To begin the endorsement process, a member of our club must ask for the Executive Board to consider an endorsement in the race. You can send us an email and ask for that to happen

3. The Board:

Once a motion has been made to start the endorsement process, 4/5ths of the Executive Board must vote "yes". If we do vote yes, an endorsement meeting will be scheduled for the next meeting two weeks from then or later. We will contact you five business days or sooner before the endorsement meeting and ask you to speak to our members.

3. Endorsement:

We DO NOT give out lists or contact information for members.

The process and guidelines of the endorsement meeting are covered by Article VIII of the Constitution. To successfully win our endorsement, you must win 2/3rds of the votes from the Members present. If no candidate gets 2/3rds, we can rate candidates as acceptable or table the endorsement until a later date.
